Get to Know Dr. Soyna Kapoor

Dr. Kapoor has been part of the dental world for close to a decade, and she remains just as passionate about her work as the day she started. She deeply enjoys using advanced technology like scanners and 3D printers to construct custom-fit, highly precise dental crowns and appliances, as it allows her to offer reliable, tailored care for patients. She remains up to date with the latest treatment techniques, all so that others can enjoy the comfortable and quality dentistry they deserve.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

As far as she can remember, Dr. Kapoor decided to become a dentist because she genuinely enjoys interacting with others and helping them feel confident about their smiles. Dentistry is also the perfect blend of science, art, and service—allowing her to continually learn, grow, and make a positive impact in the lives of others every day.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Kapoor first attended the University of Connecticut before studying at New York University College of Dentistry for her dental doctorate. She later completed a general practice residency at Hartford Hospital. Over the years, she’s completed continuing education courses in digital workflows, leadership, and esthetics. She’s also served on the Advocacy Committee, which lobbies for patient and dental insurance coverage, and she volunteers at the CT Mission of Mercy to provide gratis dental care for those in need. She’s traveled to Guatemala with Global Dental Relief as well as to Kenya to a remote village to offer dental care to children who don’t have easy access to care alongside a team of dentists, hygienists, and assistants.
Dr. Kapoor remains committed to refining her skills and expertise every year with continuing education. She’s also a proud and active member of several professional organizations, including the:

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Away from the dental office, Dr. Kapoor loves spending time with her family and creating beautiful memories with her loved ones. Her hobbies typically involve hiking, swimming, rock climbing, playing tennis, and hanging out with relatives and friends. She also enjoys learning about new cultures and languages, and she’s also multilingual—she speaks French, Punjabi, and Hindi!
